Resize your pictures on your computer - before uploading them to Tutmanik, so that their longer dimension becomes 640 pixels.
When you upload a picture on Tutmanik, the system automatically resizes the picture for faster online display. If the longer side of your picture is larger than 640 pixels, Tutmanik will resize it down to 640 and will resize proportionally the other dimension. A picture resized in this way is typically about 200 kilobytes. This is about 10 times smaller than the 1-2 megabytes per picture as it comes out of most digital cameras.
Now, you get the idea. If you are able to resize your pictures on your computer - before uploading them to Tutmanik, you'll get 10 times faster uploads.
If your original picture is smaller than 640 pixels (the long side), you don't need to resize it before uploading.
